Jamaican dancehall heavyweights Squash and Masicka have released the official music video for their latest collaboration, “16,” bringing together two of the genre’s most influential names on one record.

Produced by 6ixReal Records, Hemton Music and Attomatic Records, the track blends hard-hitting Trap Dancehall production with street-focused lyricism as both artistes reflect on their journey from difficult beginnings to success in the music industry.

The collaboration also marks a notable link-up between Squash’s 6ixReal camp and Masicka’s Genahsyde movement, two of the most recognized forces in modern Dancehall. Fans had been anticipating the release following studio previews shared earlier this year.

Directed by Jaylenz and ThirdWorldDon, the official music video complements the song with gritty urban visuals, performance scenes and cinematic production that match the record’s high-energy delivery.

Lyrically, “16” explores themes of hustle, loyalty, street credibility and financial success, with Squash and Masicka showcasing their contrasting styles throughout the track. Squash delivers his signature melodic street flow, while Masicka counters with his sharp lyricism and technical delivery.
